What On Earth responds to control and impact on the psyche and land. It interrogates this fraught yet interdependent relationship through reimagined landscapes marked by human intervention. This series of paintings considers how humans utilise and deplete the natural world as nature renews and reclaims. The works explore the entangled state of human and planet, and the way in which elements of both have been silenced and marked in differing ways. What On Earth gives voice to the ‘voiceless things’ of society and planet, dominated and manipulated into submission.
